I found this article super absorbing. I had previously read a portfolio on the writer, Erin McKean. McKean's is a constantly reappearing name in the world of lexicography. She hails from America , but has moved into the bigger wading pool for dictionary geeks, in England. I also looked into the DSNA's next bi-annual meeting--in 2011, it's going to take place in Montreal! And I thought Indiana was too far away for THIS year's meeting!!

I'm seriously thinking of paying the annual membership fees so that I can get my feet wet as a freelance lexicographer. Of course, this won't happen for quite some time considering our finances. Teaching is losing its luster rather quickly.
Arrr! A dictionary day, mateys? Well, you'd better join in the celebrations--or it's off to Davey Jones' Locker!
